Newbie logic:

1. Finally buys alts after they have gone up 3x in a week
2. Dump alts at a loss to chase BTC pump
* BTC pumps for a while *
* BTC calms down * 
3. Alts start to pump again
4. Rebuys alts 30% higher 
5. Repeat???

My only long term plan is to buy btc at dips after btc moves to high price or stable convert to alts hold alts for 3 to 6 months small investments below 2k and trade off once they reach resistance and buy back again for less price 

never chase the pump
