Almost all major surveys pointed to a BJP victory............... My feeling is BJP wont go down below 100 seats even at its worst............. Gujarat Industrial belt lo Cong ni evadu dekhadu........... Rural areas lo matram due to caste division this time Cong can match BJP performance.

As a community, Gujaratis are more concerned about the balance sheet rather than malnourished and dying before 5 years...Its has been the same since decades, not just from the last 22 years.

What's wrong if people are more concerned about money than social causes and well being ? You may be talking about an ideal world which is definetely not Gujarat, May be Kerela,west bengal or may be erstwhile soviet union...

because they are allowed to be like this, at the cost of other states. states that could have gotten more money from central transfers (like kerala) will lose out because they spend on education and health and have good indicators.

That money is given to laggards like Gujarat because population there is malnourished, even though a small section of their population is increasingly given more and more wealth by the govt.

If gujjus want to be like this, they should form a separate country, and do what they want with their money, or let states who don't want to be like that, get out of the union.

Gujarat is one of the states that has gotten worse in the last 2 decades. And still keeps getting a share higher than commensurate to its population than Kerala which does all social welfare.

that's why there should be standards.

If Gujjus want to be like this, they are free to be if they have their country and currency.
