I sent hundreds of python/jython files in gmail. 

Try renaming a exe file and tell me, try xss content in a txt file and see, python is not harmful since it needs runtime.exe and javascripts are blocked

Yes, some files may still have problem even after changing extension. I thought you are talking about code.
