Osmania University...more than 1000 acres and cat to government is zero..!!

Hyderabad central university...more than1000 acres and cost is zero and when this university was set up, the land was already government owned and then it was far away from Hyderabad...

Nalsar...located away from Hyderabad and huge land but government owned land and when it was set up, This location was far away location from Hyderabad. Same is the case with JnTU...

now you want to compare a private university which got 200 acres allocated, which is prime land which has been bought at exorbitant prices from farmers ?

Why cant the same SRM allocated land just outside Vij or any where government land is available ? For the cost incurred, state government could set up a full fledged university itself...

Well, the point is that...one honorable gentleman wanted me to congratulate a bold attempt by AP government that they have been performing so well and looking at the stats, oh my goodness, unbelievable..! another gentleman tried comparing it to osmania University, Nalsar and other universities that have been alloted thousands of acres of land inside hyderabad and when I start to think as to which university was alloted thousands of acres of land by the government, can't even think of one university except Osmania...

here goes the list...

Gandhi Hospital....not the present one but the previous gandhi hospital has about 10 acres of land near monda market, nehind secundarabad station...it has a medical college and hosipital before it moved to a musheerabad centrail jail premises.

Osmania Medical college and Hospital...Optimum usage of land...with in the city and its barely 30-40 acres..and so is the koti women's college...again these were not built by the government.

Infact...there is no institute or university which has been allotted huge lands with the hyderabad city limits..as for that matter no other city in India has alloted so m any acres with in the urban limits..untill a private university known as SRM University which was allo0ted 200 acres which has been acquired with huge cost to run a private university...why couldnt the government set up an university or a second center of Andhra University in the same land ?

Cost...its the cost what the government has spent to acquire land in and around amaravati from private people.

Cost cannot be compared with per acre prices, but the effort went to acquire these lands. If you that, you wouldn't post such a post.

Anyway, Amrita University claims much more numbers. I wonder how one earth its possible, May be in Amaravati
