How to master US accent ?

I came to US recently,  felt colleagues are not able to get my English Accent - had to repeat for them. Any suggestions ? Appreciate your help..

First Speak slowly...make sure you speak little louder..check how words they prounce ..watch and listen English news channels

You have to be very dedicated man, almost like learning a new language. 

Plus change your base voice if needed, certain languages are more airy and require you to speak in a higher pitch. English requires a much lower pitch for the right enunciation. Depending on where you live, you can take up some classes with an accent coach. 

Can be done,  but you have to give yourself the time and patience to practice the new accent plus take lessons for feedback till you master it.

just expand and put emphasis on vowels

There is nothing like a pan "American" accent - different states/regions have different accents. Also it varies depending on the groups of people who speak it - for example African Americans have a distinct accent so on and on...

I think the emphasis should be more on "clarity" and "pronunciation" than accent itself - and that comes with practise.

With Indians more often than not it has to do with our speed and pronunciation.
