Experts Urgent Care vs Emergency Care

Usually we have to take appointment to see the doctor for any issue, it could in 2 days or 10 days.

But if you want meet doctor today, you can go to urgent care(within the network, better to confirm before/after going there). But if it is serious issue, directly you can go to emergency care.

But sometimes, people are going to urgent care first and then based on the seriousness, they will send to emergency also. I think, you have to check your copay also.

urgent care is for something that can not wait until you schedule a regular appointment , you can use that for something like cold , flu , sudden fever , pain  etc...Emergency is for something that may be a major health issue if not treated immediately

urgent care will typically have a copay of 50-100$ for most insurance plans , if you have a high deductible plans and pay low premium , urgent care can save your ass , go to emergency for something that can not wait for 2-3 hours and is serious..Emergency care as such can be way more costly , infact many insurance companies encourage you to first see if you can have it treated at urgency care centers rather than emergency , saves money for both you and them..
