No one cares. If you do the math, most of the people who are stuck in american firms waiting for GC (not WITCH) typically have 8-14 years of experience. I don't see any extra value with 14 years guy compared to 4 years ( I am talking about real experience here) guy considering how rapidly the technology is changing. A guy with 10 years experience should either be at architect/lead/manager level, not in IT doing basic tasks.

Companies are absolutely fine to replace more experienced guy with less experienced guy as long as the guy does the job. They will leave to manager to handle the transition.
