Survival of the fittest, when resources are not that scarce and people fight each other for control of these considerable resources. Well understood the rule of the nature. Survival of the fittest is held up when there is scarcity, entities fight one against another in a controlled environment and the strongest one will always have edge over the less strong. When you have abundant resources in the community division, stratification, slavery, feudalistic views start sprouting and eventually a few become rich and rulers and the rest remain poor and serving the former.
