Army Avenges BSF Jawan's Death, Kills 12-15 Pakistani Rangers, Destroys 2 Posts Near LoC

Srinagar, Jan 4: The Border Security Force (BSF) on Thursday killed nearly a dozen of Pakistani Rangers to avenge the killing of its jawan in ceasefire violation on the international border in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district on Wednesday, reports India Today. The BSF also destroyed at least two Pakistani posts near Line of Control (LoC) in the counter-offensive.

Fifty-year-old Head Constable R P Hazra was severely wounded after Pakistani forces “sniped” from across the border in the Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir at about 4 pm. The jawan, who was rushed to a nearby medical centre, succumbed to his injuries. Hazra, who hails from Murshidabad in West Bengal, has served for about 27 years in the border guarding force. He is survived by a daughter (21) and son (18).

On December 25, Indian Army troops crossed over the Line of Control (LoC) and killed three Pakistani soldiers in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The counter-offensive was launched to avenge the killing of four Indian Army personnel on December 23 in ceasefire violation by Pakistan.

India shares a 3,323-km border with Pakistan, of which 221 km of the IB and 740 km of the LoC fall in Jammu and Kashmir. The BSF guards the Indo-Pak International Border (IB) in the region.

న్యూఢిల్లీ: పుట్టిన రోజు జరుపుకుంటున్న భారత జవాను ఆర్పీ హజ్రాను బలితీసుకున్న పాక్ సైనిక మూకలపై భారత భద్రతా దళాలు ఊహించని రీతిలో ప్రతీకారం తీర్చుకున్నాయి. పాకిస్తాన్ పోస్టులను ధ్వంసం చేసి డజను మందికి పైగా పాక్ రేంజర్లను హతమార్చాయి. జమ్మూ కశ్మీర్‌లోని సాంబా సెక్టార్‌లో నిన్న పాక్ సైనికులు కాల్పుల విరమణ ఒప్పందాన్ని ఉల్లంఘించిన సంగతి తెలిసిందే. ఈ కాల్పుల్లో బీఎస్ఎఫ్ దళానికి చెందిన ఆర్పీ హజ్రా ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోయారు. 50 ఏళ్ల ఆయన తన జన్మదిన వేడుకల్లోనే విగతజీవిగా మారడంతో భారత దళాలు విశ్వరూపం ప్రదర్శించాయి. భీకర కాల్పులతో పాకిస్తాన్ సైనిక పోస్టులపై విరుచుకుపడ్డాయి. రెండు పాకిస్తానీ మోర్టార్ పొజిషన్లను పసిగట్టి రాత్రికి రాత్రే నేలకూల్చాయి. బీఎస్ఎఫ్ కాల్పుల్లో దాదాపు 12 నుంచి 15 మంది వరకు పాక్ సైనికులు హతమైనట్టు సమాచారం.

 

బీఎస్ఎఫ్ ప్రతినిధి ఒకరు మీడియాతో మాట్లాడుతూ... ‘‘తొలుత తేలికపాటి ఆయుధాలతో కాల్పులకు దిగిన పాకిస్తాన్.. క్రమంగా మోర్టార్ షెల్స్‌ను ప్రయోగించడం మొదలు పెట్టింది. దీంతో బీఎస్ఎఫ్ దళాలు బుధవారం రాత్రి రెండు పాకిస్తానీ మోర్టార్ పొజిషన్లను గుర్తించి కూల్చివేశాయి. బీఎస్ఎఫ్ దళాలలన్నీ మూకుమ్మడిగా విరుచుకుపడడంతో పాకిస్తాన్ తుపాకులు ఒక్కసారిగా మూగబోయాయి...’’ అని వెల్లడించారు. మరోవైపు ఇవాళ ఉదయం అంతర్జాతీయ సరిహద్దు వద్ద చొరబాటుకు యత్నించిన ఓ వ్యక్తిని బీఎస్ఎఫ్ మట్టుబెట్టింది.
