all law suits filed against the H4 EAD are unfortunately dismissed ..and are not going to succeed. Its highly unlikely that its gonna jeopardize the H4 EAD system.

H4 EAD was born out of a regulation in May 2015 its not law...  prior to that there was not program called H4 EAD...  its the same way the regulation comes into being..its the same process to UNDO the H4 EAD.

the outcome of the  regulation is H4 EAD will be gone.. but nothing to panic ... first it will be put out into the federal register... its gonna come from DHS late Jan or early Feb 2018. then the stakeholders comment whether it is great or bad or useful or horrible....  

then government reviews all the comments and takes final decisions after that.. Normally it takes about 30 to 60 days for the process to complete and to take the actual rule into effect.

 

its not likely that things gonna change overnight... but for the time being.. nothing has changed.. if you are due to extend your H4 EAD.. our recommendation is go ahead and do it... coz its not clear whats gonna happen for existing H4 EADs for about 2 to 3 years... short answer is "We Dont know" .. they might keep it as is for existing applications... and moving forward.. there will be no extensions... unless the government forces immediate termination.. the govt should be ready for law suits...
