GLK Posted January 16, 2018 Report Posted January 16, 2018 Depends on your requirements and budget. I have 2016 RAV4 XLE FWD under 25K with 4 years all paid maintenance/servicing. The CRV during that year was not great in looks especially the rear side. Now the new CRV looks great and interiors are too good. In terms of space and seating both are same, just look at their specs. The storage space is also same - not much of a difference. CRV does not have free service. The new CRV EX is going to be 28-29K and EXL 30-31 K. You can get similar trim RAV4 for 25-26K. So its 2-4K difference. Just remember RAV4 has been the highest selling SUV last year if you compare RAV4, Nissan and CRV - http://www.wsj.com/mdc/public/page/2_3022-autosales.html Quote
sid_22 Posted January 16, 2018 Report Posted January 16, 2018 CRV is one of the worst cars I have ever driven............... every day edo oka noise vastadi.............. interior motham plastics lo fill chesi dobbadu........... edo oka part lose ayyi sounds vastu untundi. Engine sucks too........... most boring car to drive........... nothing fun......... CRV will be my last Honda car. total dissapointment. My cousin bought Mazda CX5 last year....... drive chesanu...... This car was the best in class.......... No question. pretty solid compact suv. Quote

Yes as per my knowledge in 2017 this was the case : RAV4 XLE was about 24-25K and if you bargain Georgia based dealers give you 4 years of servicing/tyre rotation and oils free. CRV EX was for 27K and EXL was 30.5K. CRV EXL has leather seats plus few smaller additions, RAV4 XLE does not have leather seats. Both the cars are very reliable and have good resale value. Try carvana.com and search for CRV EX/EXL and RAV4 XLE 2014-2016 models, you will get an idea of resale values. Remember RAV4 resale value will be slightly lower as its cost price is lower. Try FWD models not AWD ones. RAV4 sticker price seems to be higher but you get more discounts if you bargain with multiple dealers. Quote
