Living there is like living in Vijayawada, Guntur or Warangal. At Work place the mangers will openly bring people into projects for commission, favor their caste people etc.. Their minds are somehow wired in 1980s/1990s India. Want to make money at any cost. Hub for people with MS from b-grade and c-grade universities that want to get a project through a mestri and then run caste/money politics at work place to keep their project and go up the ladder. In my project, the manager openly replaced all contractors in the team with people from his friend's company for commission. My room mates in Dallas were from small towns in AP/TG. Entertainment for them is going to afternoon buffets and drinking every day, watching the same Telugu movies many times and going to caste based events.. Seattle and Atlanta on the other hand I have experienced people with good credentials and talent. The desis here are a Little forward thinking and posh maintenance as per my observation.. My room mates in Seattle and Atlanta are very open minded. Entertainment for them is doing outdoor activities like hikes, going to the gym. My room mate in Atlanta is doing part time MBA from Georgia Tech.. These are just my observations..Different people might have different opinions.. Quote
