so, you are saying that Dems don't really have a problem with legal immigration, but want to hold that as a bargain chip to get repubs to do stuff on illegal immigration.

don't you see its repubs being the assholes here, by being stubborn on illegal immigration? (according to your own description). Dems have no problem with both - which is somewhat a decent position to have.

if Dems agree with repub position on legal immigration, then that's it. repubs will not repay that favour by agreeing with them on illegal immigration. but ofcourse now, it seems Dems have given up on DACA. The atmosphere has been created such that them insisting on illegal immi reform will probably not get them elected in many places.

That atmosphere is toxic for Indians too. I don't know why you call dems as b*tches, when they are the least b*tchy party in view. and both are bad.

republicans are not even the majority (winning majority after gerrymandering doesn't count), and they want to push their agenda down the entire country's throats in everything - from low taxes, to illegal immigration.
