uttermost Posted January 30, 2018 Report Posted January 30, 2018 TS, simple. there's nothing to question in this case. yes some prominent muslims may question the muslim group behaviour in this case once Hindutva thugs give them space to breathe. no self respecting intelligent muslim commentator (liberal or smart) will ever touch this incident to question muslims. If you expect Hindus to question them, I think you misunderstand public rules of engagement. 'Never demean the opposite group in public discussion until you are being oppressed by that group'. sadly Hindus as the majority group, and in power, lose the moral right to talk loosely about muslims in public. So yes, they use their influence to talk about Hindu atrocities only. because otherwise, its impossible to justify their stance given how poorly read they are, in general. so yes, pseudo liberals/liberals are crap. but that doesn't make Hindutva batch right. I'm betting a $1000 that anti muslim rants at best will receive snark from some liberals, whereas anti Hindu rants will descend upon you the entire troll army of internet Hindutva. don't understimate the extreme aggression with which Hindutva groupies behave. and not just online. ------- And if you don't care about all this, and only about the truth (you know as a man of science and all). sure. even then your original question is pointless. because you admit that you are unclear about the truth in this case. and you are addressing a db which has 99% who agree that muslims are in the wrong here. so its not the truth, its just groupie talk. One who would not be accused of siding with muslims/Hindus whenever he/she questions something? so why would you think that you are entitled to a question from anyone? when the other side doesn't give even an inch. its just empty rhetoric. people are divided. and horribly so. Yes the people who you refer to may speak in liberal tongues, but they are hardly liberal. They'll support you in other conversation (like in reservation, or army etc). so no worries. All in India are the same (almost). just minor squibbles apart. prakash raj is your friend in almost all issues. wait for a while, and he will turn to the Hindutva side. he's just mourning the death of his friend. give him time.
