its perfectly possible and fairly easy for companies to establish and own employees with their own anti compete laws. They are stopped only by the existence of bigger body.

verey countries lo auction is equated with slave buyings. India lo alaanti conscience emi ledhu. India lo slavery ney jaragaledhu antaaru. indians how did they land in malaysia, and africa and windies without being transported to there by companies as slaves.

Its just the Indian conscience is not bothered about things that don't concern them. not even when an outsider points it out.

i'll still be constrained by the country wide laws on whether I can own employees or not.  Those country wide laws didn't automatically come into existence. They were results of decades of protests by worker unions, including in the US and Europe.

Hint: Africa, middle east are place where they allow companies to have their own labour laws, including pacts to not poach each others.

in football the clubs can sell a player to another club based on who offers the highest... ofcourse finally the player also hsa to agree to the personal salary terms but isnt this even worse? Someone else (club) selling you instead of you putting yourself in an auction.

player transfers happen in NHL too, perhaps in all leagues around the world. But NHL has salary caps. It specifies both a minimum and a maximum that a player can be paid, and there are no restrictions on the number of foreign players that clubs are allowed to sign.

the thread was mostly in jest, ofcourse.

actual discussion about IPL should include how BCCI monopolizes it, including grabbing slot when most countries aren't playing their international matches (except England), and restricting the number of foreign players (after bulldozing the country's cricket board into accepting a specific calendar when there are no international matches) etc. basically if you are not picked, you are unemployed for that season.

Its just poorly thought out and planned, and has absolutely no voice from the players, because some of them receive vast sums (not in comparison to EPL) and happy to play ball.

I don't know how it can be conducted better though.
