How can we restart Wi-FI remotely (away from home/office) any suggestions? I know we can use smart plugs like iDevice switch , but in case of network failure those plugs may not respond either and require you to manually restart. Any recommendations?

Does any of you using Apple HomeKit?

login to your router with ip address

if you don't know, just go to cmd and type ipconfig and then you will find a login screen, by default the username is admin and password is password

then you will be directed to the configurations page. Do not change anything but all the way down you'll find update or apply settings tab. click it and you're router is gonna restart on its own.

If its xfinity or spectrum you can just login to your account and you will find options to restart your router

I use DirecTV. I don't need Modem where I live, if you have have router that will be enough but the IP settings are blocked.

Sometimes due to network issues, I may have to restart my security cameras and other smart home devices, which basically either the hub need to restart (like Apple TV or HomePod) need to restart or the individual connected smart devices, instead, if you restart the router it helps since it's single point of communication.  All of this is easy if you are home but it's not always possible to be home

Not all ISP’s allow you to play with it bro. xfinity is like we are talking about community where you have to buy/lease ISP’s Modem + router equipment. But this is not always true everywhere. For me, our Modem/Router is located in Atlanta. Entire building has internet and you need a range extender to connect to network.

try this,

Either from the web or the app, go to myAT&T > My Internet > Get Internet Support (might have to select your Internet account as well if you have multiple accounts with AT&T)
You should see "Fix service issues in a snap with Troubleshoot & Resolve". Click the "Get started" link.
Select "Restart Services Now"

As far as i know, att doesn't provide remote access. I think the best way is to call the customer support.
