Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan might not be a big politician, at least for now, but as an actor, he is one of the most popular persons in the Telugu film industry.

He is a big celebrity in the industry, may be because of his own success in the industry or because he is the younger brother of megastar Chiranjeevi.

Even a school going kid can recognise Pawan Kalyan, because he has given several hits to the film industry.

So, there is no way any film actor in Tollywood cannot recognise Pawan Kalyan. But one senior actor sprang a surprise in the media by declaring that he does not know Pawan Kalyan.

Needless to guess, this senior actor is none other than Nandamuri Balakrishna, MLA form Hindupur.

When media persons asked him about Pawan Kalyan’s plans to contest from Anantapur in the next elections, a furious Balakrishna shot back at the media saying: “Pawan Kalyan? Who is he? I don’t know who he is,” and then sped in his vehicle.

Being such a senior actor in the industry, one cannot expect Balakrishna to refuse to acknowledge Pawan Kalyan.

Moreover, he is definitely aware that Pawan Kalyan campaigned for the TDP in the last elections and shared the dais with chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. There are several pictures with Pawan and Naidu shaking hands and dining together. 

The media even dug out Balakrishna’s picture with Pawan Kalyan during a film shooting several years ago.

So, Balakrishna is definitely lying about Pawan Kalyan. May be he is upset because Pawan has chosen to contest from Anantapur and that might affect Balayya’s chances in Hindupur. That is why he reacted so angrily with the media!
