Ami, Nirav and Trump went to the same B-School, The Wharton Business School in Philadelphia. Ami met Nirav at Wharton, though Nirav dropped out after the first year of his stint at the school. Trump was also present at the inaugural function of Nirav Modi’s jewellery store in New York City in 2015. Ami is a trustee of Nirav Modi Foundation and the mother of three children – two daughters and a son. She runs Nirav Modi Scholarship for Excellence which supports 250 students every year. Ami follows Hinduism even after marriage, though Nirav is a Jain.
