Theatre owner veru....digi sound system provider veru naa? repu theatre la kurseela suppliers bhee vachi bandha antaraa endi? DSPs & Producers' Council Issue Resolved! Apparently, peace has been restored between Producers' Council and the Digital Service Providers (DSPs) regarding the pricing of 'Digital Print Fee' after a series of meetings. In the latest meeting, the DSPs body offered to reduce present charges by 17%, and Producers' Council got convinced with the discount. With the deadlock resolved, theatres will start screening films from next Friday onwards. The Official announcement will be likely to be soon. Film exhibitors who do not have their own projectors hire them from digital service providers and pay 'Digital Print Fee'. The Producers' Council alleged that they were being forced to pay the fee instead of exhibitors paying it. Earlier, as the DSPs refused to reduce mire than 10% of the Fee, the Producers' Council took the decision of not screening films from March 1. Quote
