The startup’s plan is to “build a night at the movies,” perhaps complete with setting up parking or ordering you a car, giving you a deal on dinner before or after, connecting you with like-minded moviegoers, etc. Of course they need data to do that, but one would hope that the collection would be a bit more nuanced than this.

We are exploring utilizing location-based marketing as a way to help enhance the overall experience by creating more opportunities for our subscribers to enjoy all the various elements of a good movie night. We will not be selling the data that we gather. Rather, we will use it to better inform how to market potential customer benefits including discounts on transportation, coupons for nearby restaurants, and other similar opportunities.

So it tracks your location while you are sitting watching the movie? Still not sure how that cuts down the abuse that some are resorting to where they purchase one movie's tickets and go watch a different one. I am sure both those screens would point out to the same location since it's usually the movie theater that gets tracked not the individual screens. Unless of course, they have technology to track in very pin point detail what screen the user is located at, at any given period of time.

This article talks about plans on monetizing the location data. I dont think MP is aware of the abuse. May be they know, but probably don't care as long as the customer behaves the same way as others in spending other than tickets.

I am aware of that but what I am saying is, let's say there are two movies playing in two different screens next to each other. You purchase tickets for movie A which is allowed on movie pass and say end up going to movie B which isn't allowed on movie pass as it's a regional movie. 

Movie pass physical locator I don't think can differentiate between the two, but I could be mistaken as well.

Regular movie lovers ki MP is a terrific idea for less than the price of a weekend movie ticket. Abuse chesetollaki adi kanapadatle, so moviepass is right in doing what it's trying to do to prevent the abuse.

I am referring to the ones who are abusing movie pass as pimps which is obvously our own guys

akkadedo Google, FB apps manalni track cheyyalenattu, its common for every app............ Theaters mafia taggalante........ MP lantidi India lo kooda raavali bhayya.......small telugu movies will flourish............... ippudu tollywood lo adhe problem kada......... Dil raju potti potato allu gaadu veele controlling majority of the theaters........... let MP takeover the theaters.

 

Netflix, Airbnb, Uber, Amazon laaga this will be the next-big concept.

 I agree with this, idi nene kallara choosa. 

Baahubali first part ki team motham lakkellaru oddanna, sare okay edo team event la anukuni poya. Line lo 30 minutes niluchunnamu since it's not reserved seating, door open ayyaka previous show nundi bayataki ochinollu ala ochinatte ochi immediately went back inside to watch for a second time(continuously). Line lo niluchunnollu jokers mari. 

Aa headache movie second time, adi kooda consecutive ga ela choodagalaro emo. And most of those people that went back free a second time are with kids, em message istunnaro valla kids ki.

It is not in system yet. But they are going to do that in near future. People are willing to give all the info for the kind of service he is providing- 1 free movie every day.
