ronitreddy Posted March 9, 2018 Report Posted March 9, 2018 North Korea has reportedly agreed to pursue denuclearization and meet with President Trump, per a dramatic announcement outside the White House by a South Korean official on Thursday. According to the New York Times, citing South Korean officials, President Trump has accepted the invitation in what the newspaper called a "breathtaking gamble." No sitting American president has ever met with a North Korean leader. This time it comes after a “maximum pressure” policy by Trump critics assailed as erratic and dangerous. In a related development, Fox News reported Thursday night that South Korean National Security Adviser Chung Eui-yong is set to announce an upcoming meeting between South Korean president Moon Jae-in and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
