recent ga evaru iyina velara? 7kgs cabin and 1 personnel item(backpack(laptop) or camera bag with all essentials like lens etc) annadu....customer care call cheste they said the same. But did anyone had any bitter experiences recently with the cabin baggage? qatar lo issue iyindi ani @Pichkaari vala friend ki dabulu katinchukunaru anta.....etihad lo ediana problem ani asking?

 

Update: help avutundi ani updating 

USA to Abu Dhabi: cabin baggage 7 kgs allowed + you can carry a personnel item(back pack) for laptop or camera. This personnel item will not be weighed. But if your cabin bag is more than 7 kgs either you should throw some stuff away or pay. 

Abu Dhabi to hyd: No checking

fyi:- immigration aipatadi ani tiskotame kani I would prefer other airlines 

fyi :- I paid up and down extra weight fess over 200$ 

Immigration problem leka pothe go with other airlines

Ethihad ur carryone including every thing should be 7kgs.

welcome to the club... allu atlane cheptharu monane poyina..cabin, hand ..wat evr ...even with duty free botels ..it should not go over 7lbs...its not 7kgs.na ladulodhi...na cabin kalidhi 5lbs untadhi..inka andhulo laptop docs pedthe..8.5 ayindhi...laptop battey tesina..ayina 7.7..adini vadhalara ante no antundu ...em cheyli..nenu inka na docs chethilo patukoni potha nuvu 7.7 ki clear cheyakapothe ante last ki clear chesindu..this took almost 30 min... donttake risk..go for 7lbs anthe

Same happened in India paid extra money and moved stiff to big baggade

just call chesa...7kg cabin +1 personnel item(laptop bag or camera bag) annadu....I specifically asked him again and took details id etc..7 kg cabin + 1 personnel item but it should not contain anything anadu

Hand baggage (carry-on) allowance

Personal Items

In addition to your cabin baggage, you may carry one personal item. A personal item is typically your small purse, clutch, camera-bag, stuffed toy or food bottles for your children, or a blanket. Remember that you can only carry one small personal item.  

Your laptop shall be placed either in your carry-on baggage or in your personal item and will account as part of your cabin baggage allowance.  When travelling with your camera bag, the bag should only  contain your camera with a lens and required accessories - such as a charger. For security purposes, your camera bag should not contain any other items (e.g. spare set of clothing, food items or other personal items) and must not exceed 5 kg.

dubai lo i had similar last year...etihad i never had issues before so wanted to make sure if etihad is doing same thing
