At Dubai, my hang baggage was weighed along with personal item which had work laptop, came up to 9 kgs plus another 3 kgs for duty free liquor. Total came up to 12 kgs inclusive of hand luggage, personal item and duty free liquor and I was charged excess luggage for extra 5 kgs and asked to pay $75. instead I choose to return the duty free items and argued with them for 2kgs for the laptop. How can they charge at connecting flight instead they should charge at origin. Earlier Qatar was better but I heard even Qatar became worst. Now, I have decided not to travel with gulf carriers anymore. European carriers are the best Quote
Android_Halwa Posted March 10, 2018 Report Posted March 10, 2018 And at Hyd airport, they are not accepting personal item and they are making us put the personal item in main cabin baggage... its useless to contact customer service or reading the rules...on ground, there seems to be different rules all together. Hell with these Gulf Carriers...and problem seems to be with Hyd-Gulf sector but not beyond that sector. Quote

That’s the same thing happened to me with Emirates in Hyd... you know the kind of documents we are supposed to have with us...literally a bunch of them..starting with edu documents and immigration docs...literally I had documents and work laptop which weighed a pound..total weight was 9kgs and they wanted to remove 2 kgs and also asked me to check in the cabin baggage... after expressing weird anguish, they let me go but not before wasting 20 mins of time and another 30 mins standing in line..! Duniya airlines vunnai...masthu hubs vunai..aina etihad okkate vundi ante...inkemi cheyalem i travelled almost 15-20 Times trans Atlantic...only 5 Times on gulf carriers and remaining on European...always has good experience on European but not in Gulf Quote
