No..5 year kids not possible..

 

Multiple trekking paths vuntai.. they take 4 to 5 days..depending on your opika

 

And they run through the thick forests. Mosquitoes etc are quite common... Heavy back pack kooda compulsory

..I didn't go to Machu Picchu but this was itenary given to me.
