If you take another credit card with 0%, Your credit score will go down. Discover and DCU will give the personal loan if you are on H1B (It happens to me). If you take from lending club or prosper you will pay the exact due for each month so that you can have systematic plan to re pay the loan and mostly it will not effect your score much as you will pay with interest from the first month. Just signup and enter how much you want. With in 24 hours they will call you and approve the loan. This is my personal experience. I took almost 90k from above 2 for an investment in India with 5.3% APR(mine was same credit score at that time) . It took 3 years for me to repay the personal loan. I am glad that next month is the last due. Quote
