If you are actually skilled in a domain/technology the avg pay for 12 years experience is at least $120K.

The words "Actually skilled" are very important. I managed, I overlooked, I delivered, I roamed ivanni kaadu. If you can understand & execute a project from a non-technical perspective and factor in the usability, finances, user experience, roi etc etc then only I consider that real experience.
