Heard better to have java/ programming back ground but not needed (I might be wrong)...All my work experience is on databases ..worked as SQl developer and data analyst. Want to improve my skill set with latest technologies as I have some spare time. below is the skill set needed for Data Engineer Skills: Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, Data streaming, NoSQL, SQL, programming.
