This app has access to:

Device & app history

• retrieve running apps (probably to allow advertisers to target you better. A company like Hulu could say "show this advertisement to all known Netflix users")

Identity

• find accounts on the device (Probably to check for a Facebook account on devices with Facebook integration. Also to tie you to all of your other online identities)
• add or remove accounts (Probably to add Facebook accounts on devices with Facebook integration)
• read your own contact card (Facebook will get your phone and email, even if you don't give it to them)

Calendar

• read calendar events plus confidential information (Probably for advertising, or less harmful explicit event sharing on Facebook. Not sure what "confidential information" includes on Android calendar but I doubt Facebook needs that too)
• add or modify calendar events and send email to guests without owners' knowledge (Probably to sync events from Facebook to your calendar. Not sure why it needs to send email without the owners knowledge though)

Contacts

• find accounts on the device
• read your contacts (Facebook likes to make sure they know you, even if you don't use their service at all. When your friends install the Facebook app on their Android device, it dumps their contacts (which includes you) to their servers.)
• modify your contacts (Probably to update contacts with Facebook profile pictures)

Location

• approximate location (network-based)
• precise location (GPS and network-based)

SMS

• read your text messages (SMS or MMS) (Gotta keep tabs on who you're talking to outside of Messenger)

Phone

• directly call phone numbers
• read call log
• read phone status and identity
• write call log

Photos/Media/Files

• read the contents of your USB storage
• modify or delete the contents of your USB storage

Storage

• read the contents of your USB storage
• modify or delete the contents of your USB storage

Camera

• take pictures and videos

Microphone

• record audio (remember those Ads you see on Facebook after talking about something?)

Wi-Fi connection information

• view Wi-Fi connections (helpful to learning your location even if you turn location services off)

Device ID & call information

• read phone status and identity (Unique ID for your phone that will tie it to you. Facebook can then track who you sold your phone to. Also could just simply be used to help track spam)

Other

• download files without notification
• adjust your wallpaper size (No clue why Facebook needs to touch my wallpaper)
• receive data from Internet (I think all/most data-enabled apps have this)
• view network connections (Track location without location services)
• create accounts and set passwords
• read battery statistics (Probably wanted to monitor how their app kills battery life but forgot to actually improve the app)
• send sticky broadcast
• change network connectivity
• connect and disconnect from Wi-Fi
• expand/collapse status bar
• full network access (I think all/most data-enabled apps have this)

• read sync settings (Fingerprinting)
• run at startup (Needs to make sure their tracking gets started if you ever reboot the phone)

• set wallpaper (No clue why Facebook needs to touch my wallpaper)
• draw over other apps (Last I read about this permission it was used by nefarious apps to draw invisible things over other apps to act as a key logger. Can't confirm if that's what Facebook uses it for.)
