Breaking News: Congress party poster spotted in office of Cambridge Analytica

• In a video, a Congress poster can be seen in the office of Cambridge Analytica’s suspended CEO, Alexander Nix
• So far the party has denied any links with the data analysis firm
• Cambridge Analytica is accused of using Facebook users’ data to “influence” elections in the US

 

The concerned video is part of a documentary series for the BBC released last year by journalist and tech blogger Jamie Bartlett.

In the clip, Nix is seen standing to welcome Bartlett and in the backdrop is the poster with the Congress party's hand symbol and carrying the slogan, "Development for all".

The video clip has put a question mark over the Congress's claim that it has no links with the data analysis firm which was recently accused of using Facebook users' data to "influence" elections in the US.

Bartlett, the man behind the documentary, refuted claims that the image showing Congress’s poster in Nix’s office is photoshopped.

"And I can confirm this is NOT a photoshop. I was in the room, and I remember it. Here’s another shot, it’s hanging up in Nix’s office, front and centre. This screengrab taken from my version of the doc," he said.
