KrishnaDevaRaya Posted March 29, 2018 Report Posted March 29, 2018 I will make it very short. My sister in law last week delivered a baby who is just 26 weeks old. Their first son was also a preemie who was born at 34 weeks. They worried and consulted a doctor before going for the second one to make sure this time no preterm delivery and asked the doctor any precautions to take to avoid preterm labor. The doctor didn't tell them about a medicine which stops preterm delivery which is safe to take during pregnancy. Last week, one day she got pains and they called the doctor and based on her advise they went to a hospital in the morning. In the hospital, after spending 6 hrs without giving any treatment they transferred her to a different hospital by ambulance. During their stay in the hospital, no doctor came to check on her. Her pains got worse while transiting to another hospital and by the time she reached the hospital baby started to come out. Immediately they did C-section to her and took the baby out. Baby is in the ICU fighting for his life. My brother family was so upset, under a lot of stress and sorrow. I think this is a case of medical negligence by the doctor and hospital. They don't want to this happen to anybody else. They want to take legal action against the doctor and hospital. What do you guys think? You guys heard or experienced like this. Is this case for medical negligence? Please, serious advice only. Quote
