I look down on all professions. without bias.

first critics are an important link between an artist and the audience. The job is not to judge the film, but to make the film relatable to the average viewer. eg. watch movies of Alejandro Jodorowsky and see if you can understand it without some frame of reference. critics are the ones tha provide that reference. and there are some wonderful critics.

But such critics cannot exist in commercial movie business, because all films are made in readily consumable form. So if you say critics are lazy no gooders, then the same applies for the makers too. Just make money out of inferior bullshit products, that tickles one of 5 emotions.

RGV is okay. But people who regurgitate his nonsense is what I rail against. RGV himself knows that he's bullshit. His supporters don't.
