It has to compare itself with the best to try and replicate things that made Hyd the best city in the south.

like high FSI (if its possible in Vizag) that made Hyd so affordable.

like social support structures for the poor (which is basically non existent in vizag)

like people's acceptance of outsiders (compared to bangalore or chennai)

so many things. Vizag should measure itself against Hyd only.

road connectivity one of the worst.......when train takes 6 hours road (bus)takes same......there are three routes which can connect to vijaywada...none of them is best....

the primary prob is lack of job opportunities for youth. not even a handful of my engg batchmates or schoolmates are settled in vizag except for the one's who have their own businesses to take care off! but where as in the 80s 90s people from various parts of the state and country moved to vizag as its termed as the city of destiny for everyone back then with lots of Govt and Private sector jobs.  And its totally neglected by the state govts there after and still being continued to be a neglected zone! The city still has a lot of potential to grow coz with no support from any govts its placed at 8th position in terms of GDP.

The only reason Vizag was not chosen as Capital is because of its geographical location within AP. Rest all comments are probably motivated by political affliations. 

Vizag will grow and be biggest revenue generator for AP (unless you compare it with VJW + Guntur + Amaravathi + .... as eventually, the plan is to add many cities to CRDA )
