It lasted quite long, atleast until as long as Rohit Vemula was killed (s0rry, I chose to believe that he was killed, based on dalit friends description of what happened).

the reaction to that 'suicide' made me double down on all my jokes on Hindus (which I was only making as jokes earlier) as irrefutably true. Hindu society is indeed rotten at its core. and irredeemable.

and doesn't really support decentalization, inspite of all claims that it does (caste system as a unique decentralising model). 

I was supporting a political model of Hindutva that gave power to all sections of Hindus, and on hindsight it seems so silly. Only idiots like me believed that hindu society can be anything but power centralizing group. There was no way to convince a regular guy that what Vemula needs support, not mockery. 

Hindu society has made up its mind to support the arrogant Smriti Irani, and dismiss the protestors as fringe. Worse, the regular society in Hyderabad didn't even care, instead focusing the discussion on ills of reservation.
