H1 Stamping Experience at Chennai: April 25th & 26th 2018

Day 1 (April 25th) : Finger Printing @VAC

Appointment time : 9:00am

Reached VAC at 8:45 and showed the Appointment Confirmation Letter to security

Walked 1 Stair up and security guided us all the way and gave us a token to wait

Once our token is called, they will take a photograph and cross check docs and will ask you to read the rights like your info is all true etc.,

Day 2 (April 26th) : Interview Day

Appointment Time: 11:15am

1)     Went to Embassy at 11:10am, there is a big line for different timeslots, but no need to worry they don’t care if you show up early…if you are on time and talk to security they will let you in directly once they verify timing on the appointment confirmation

2)     As usual Security screening like in Airport

3)     Then Asked us to sit in some chairs in the waiting area.

4)     Since we have 19 month kid with us (we were given priority) skipping all queues ..normally people are made to wait in queues .

5)     Went to finger printing line directly

6)     Once Finger Printing is done, there is another queue to go to counters (no token system) but we skipped queue again as priority was given

7)     By 11:30am we were Infront of VO

VO questions:

1)     Are you on H1 ?

2)     Who is your Petitioner

3)     Who is your end client?

4)     Can I see you’re LCA

5)     Can I see you’re W-2 for past 2 years ,kept all the documents

6)     Started Typing in the system gave me a tiny yellow slip and asked to wait in the seating area to be called again (same was mentioned on that yellow slip)

7)     While She continued interviewing other candidates, we waited 1 hour and then she called us again to her window and said the Happy words…

Your visa is approved and gave us all docs except Passports.
