Clarification on h1 transfer

Hi,

I have a question on h1 transfer. Below is the case.

-6 yrs h1 term completed

-I140 approved & 6 months also completed

-current h1 validity until 2020

now if I want to move to a new employer , how will I get my new H1 validity based on I-140 approval (as this I-140 is not with this new employer).....i.e. is it possible to move to a new employer after 6 yrs term ? Please help

Transfer works as is. I-140 has very little influence other than getting extensions beyond 6 years. You will continue to get extensions as long as I-140 is valid. If the old employer revoke I-140 (you can still retain PD) then new employer need to start Labor at least before the H1 up for renewal I guess.

Yeah ...thats the question , as it is beyond 6 yrs in my case , if I apply for h1 transfer will they consider the previous employer's 140 to give extension (although its transfer , it is beyond 6 yrs..correct) ?
