That is what I am wondering. Income after taxes is 112k and in Florida it is close to 99k. Cost of living anni peruguthayi.

you should be able to do some basic math man.... lets say minimum 160 hrs... so 160*110*0.8 (if you are working on 80-20) = 14000. Lets say 6000 taxes (Maximum amount). 3000 Rent. So you still have 5000... you can live anywhere in the world with 5000 for food...

Irrespective of rate you need to work in NYC at least once in your lifetime at least in banking sector. I believe the networking opportunities you get overweigh the amount of pay you get for a short period of time

It is all relative. Saripovatam veru, nee current situation veru. The comparison is between 85 and 110 in two different states. Overall ga I am getting 1000 more per month. How much you save is important. You could save more in Dallas for lesser rates than in LA with better rates.
