Don't buy $100 ones. They are trash. 

Go for benq or optoma - you can get for ~ $500 too. If you can tell the budget, i can suggest one.

The best projector . Using since 3 years, no issues. Clarity is crisp and clear.

Benq W1070 is the best budget projector IMO. I am using it for past 2 years and I absolutely love it. In fact, I even recommended it to couple of my friends and they bought it. and they are all happy with it.

Remember this, if your room is dark, then go for W1070. if your room is having some light and you could not cover it, go for Epson 2045. both of them range between 600-800.

both these are 1080 projectors. IMO don't go for 4k projectors, as they are very expensive and you don't find 4k content that much.

also, don't just buy the projector. there is something called Short throw and Long throw, this is basically, how far the projector from screen. you need to do research on it and buy accordingly. see ProjectorCentral.com for more details.
