Picked some random cases

I work for Infosys My H1 Exension+Amendment that was filed by them under Premium processing recently got DENIED on 8th May (denial reason below)- And my I94 got expired already (Feb 2018) and H1 expired on(Jan 2018). Employer has stopped my payroll on 12 May itself and is asking me to travel and report back to India to start Indian Payroll.,  I got hired at US..I neither have any projects in India currently as I am out of my current project already.  Can someone suggest on what are the options that I have to get into legal status? And is it possible for me to transfer my H1 to a new employer while being in US by separating from my current employer?

I got my I-140 approved with them back on Sep 2017

Denial Reason: USCIS Adjudicating Officer was not convinced that the position met the requirements for specialty occupation according to H1B regulations. (i.e. USCIS determined that the Role was not complex enough to require someone with a Specific Degree to fulfill the duties). Please note, the decision is based on the Officer’s discretion and these decisions are made on a case-by-case basis.
