I think your message is good in theory as far as citizens doing due diligence and electing right people but it's not practical in my opinion 

 

Dude, We elected MPs who are protesting for the state and Centre doesn't even care a  for their protests. Centre wants their party in power and don't want to care about what people wanted and so we do what we can do

Congress clealry told Special Status after getting to power

Congress have no role to play in Andhra so no problem...

Telugus of Karnataka did their part , we can't expect them dominate in any different state..

Ayina ippudu maathram emundhi thummu they oodi poye mukku government adhi...lot of troubles ahead..

Telugus in Karnataka are settled and they have voting right etc, since they felt their mother land got cheated they showed their frustration...

if Congress and  BJP are fighting neck to neck in a constituency and JDS has little presence 

 

lets say in a constituency with 1,00,000 votes: BJP may get  45,000 and Congress may get 45,000 and JDS may get 10,000 

 

what use is it if I vote for JDS? Me bringing them to 10,001 wont make the difference. 

 

You are right in a scenario where JDS replaces Congress , where we would gladly vote for JDS
