Nalgonda Fluorisis problem is the biggest failure of the then United AP government. 

It houses a 280 TMC ft and 400 TMC ft reservoirs built across River Krishna and all the canals flow through this district irrigating millions of acres but so unfortunate that people living along the river had to suffer for generations just to get clean access to drinking water...

Gross negligence and government failure.

This issue has been raised in parliament number of times over the course of history. Has been raised in Assembly. There were scientific commissions, expert panels formed but everyone concentrated on finding the root cause of the problem but no one recommended the solution for this problem and finally when there was a solution, the govt's thought instead of solving, lets pass the buck and that's what it has happened...

Until early 2000's when technology was going through a change, a group of NRI's have installed reverse osmosis water treatment plants in their native villages which were successful in solving the issue or atleast partially successful.

The only politician who at least cared about this issue was YSR. in 2005 on a tour to the district, war footing la he invited tenders to construct and supply drinking water along the Krishna pipeline project where almost 300 villages for the first time tasted purified drinking water in their lives.

and after 2014, TRS govt seems to be serious on this issue and allotted 600 crores for permanent solution of the problem. Still another 2-3 years away from reality. 

Idi charitra. India is about to celebrate 75 years of free nation but has miserably failed when it comes to Nalgonda Flurosis problem.

Ie villages lo life is nothing less than hell. .chala families lo effected people ni valla karma ki vadilesi poinaru...they have been abandoned by their own families...they were treated as burden...konni konni villages lo papam disabled people thapa inkevaru vundaru, villages villages kaali chesi velipoinaru....vella karma meeru chavandi ani vadilesi velipoinaru....they were left to die in their own villages....

YSR gave ray of hope for these people. He may be the most corrupted CM but for these people, he was the ray of hope. 

He started giving 800 rupees pension to these effected people and suddenly, the same people who have disowned them stared looking after them for the this 800 rupees pension per month. 

But now, people started coming back to villages as there is fresh pure water available and they have water to irrigate and villages are bustling with activity now and flurosis effected people are part of the society...
