హెచ్‌–4 వీసాదారులు ఉద్యోగాలు చేసుకోవడానికి ఉన్న అనుమతులను రద్దు చేయడానికి ఉద్దేశించిన విధాన ప్రక్రియ తుది దశలో ఉందని అధ్యక్షుడు ట్రంప్‌ నేతృత్వంలోని అమెరికా ప్రభుత్వం ఓ ఫెడరల్‌ కోర్టుకు గురువారం తెలిపింది. హెచ్‌–4 వీసాదారులకు వర్క్‌ పర్మిట్లను రద్దు చేసే ప్రతిపాదన ప్రస్తుతం హోంల్యాండ్‌ సెక్యూరిటీ విభాగం (డీహెచ్‌ఎస్‌) వద్ద ఉందనీ, డీహెచ్‌ఎస్‌ ఆమోదం పొందాక దీనిని మేనేజ్‌మెంట్‌ అండ్‌ బడ్జెట్‌ ఆఫీస్‌కు పంపుతామని ప్రభుత్వం కోర్టుకు తెలియ జేసింది. అనంతరం కార్యనిర్వాహక ఉత్తర్వుల ద్వారా ఈ నిబంధనను అమల్లోకి తెచ్చే అంశాన్ని పరిశీలిస్తారంది.

ఇంతకుముందు చెప్పినట్లుగానే హెచ్‌–4 వీసాలకు వర్క్‌ పర్మిట్లను రద్దు చేసేందుకే తాము మొగ్గుచూపుతున్నట్లు డీహెచ్‌ఎస్‌ కోర్టుకు వెల్లడించింది.హెచ్‌–1బీ వీసాలపై అమెరికాలో పనిచేస్తున్న వారి జీవిత భాగస్వాములకు మంజూరు చేసేవే ఈ హెచ్‌–4 వీసాలు. హెచ్‌–4 వీసాదారులూ ఉద్యోగాలు చేసుకునేందుకు నాటి  అధ్యక్షుడు ఒబామా అనుమతులిచ్చారు. ప్రస్తుతం కనీసం 70 వేల మంది హెచ్‌–4 వీసాదారులు ఉద్యోగాల్లో ఉన్నారు. వారిలోనూ 93 శాతం మంది.. అంటే దాదాపు 65 వేల మంది భారతీయులే. హెచ్‌–4 వీసాలకు వర్క్‌ పర్మిట్లు రద్దు చేస్తే వీరందరూ ఉద్యోగాలు చేసుకునే వీలుండదు. ఈ ప్రతిపాదనపై పలువురు అమెరికా చట్టసభల సభ్యులు వ్యతిరేకత వ్యక్తం చేస్తుండటం తెలిసిందే.
