Actually if we see BJP  lost in UP because of the coalition between SP, BSP. its like TDP, YCP joining hands. But it wont be the case in general elections. Kinda sthaayi cadre cannot sustain the coalition and lot of fight for seats.

Also elections are held at a time when the fuel prices are sky rocketing. that is one reason, Hope BJP learns from its mistakes and take proper steps....otherwise desham kukkalu chimpina visthare with these fronts.

The opoostion May be celebrating a victory over BJP but it’s actually a threat looming over them. Power struggle...

look at Karnataka. Kumanaraswamy is struggling to run the govt and its not even been 10 days properly. 

And thinking of opposition United to take on Modi in General 2019, will eventually crack. 

I don’t see SP,BSP,RLD and Congress forming a front in Uttar Pradesh to take on BJP. It’s not the question of United opposition but future of hundreds of probable candidates in fray who have to miss chance to give way for coalition partner, threat of rebels and local vote split...

 

these usually wont matter that much for MP elections. MLA elections are a different story

Also, in Karnataka, I am assuming JDS and COngress will contest together in 2019, meaning they may sweep most of the MP seats in KA, leaving  BJP with atleast10 fewer seats when compared to 2014.

If BJP is short by 100 seats then they will never come to power under leadership of Modi. If Congress comes to power, then they may come to power. 

 

TRS may get 10 seats at the most, YCP may get a maximum of 10-15, DMK may get 30 max, BJP probably 15 max, no way BJP can form govt if they are short of 100 seats. DMK may actually support Congress if BJP is short of 100 seats as AIADMK is pro-BJP
