I was given 5 questions in a pre-screening test on Hacker rank, to be done in 90 mins

I have answered 3 in time, and had 5mins left for 4th one, for that I was able to figure out the algorithm, but couldn't manage to put the complete code in time, I'm sure if some one goes through the code they'll know that I've almost managed to write the solution but couldn't return it because of time.(I did not hit the submit code for this one).

Will that question be considered as a submission?

If yes, will they review the code we write?

if ur first answers are correct, and fourth one if they understand and like ur approach..

they will definitely comeback to u...3 out of 5 is a pretty good chance for call back.

Hello!

I think it will not consider if you did not submit.Remember that the code is automatically saved every time you hit a line but that does not mean it is submitted to the server. You only get a score for the test cases you passed or solution obtained.Assuming you did not write the code that gives apt solution to the problem I think it is very hard they would even consider it.

Hackerrank is not manually verified tests, they rely on computer algorithms to check the code, these algorithms most certainly do not have any artificial intelligence to detect that you figured out an algorithm but missed out implementing the whole code.

So I think that code will not be considered unless it passes any test case.

All the best for your future examinations!!

got it, usually profile lo practices ki changes save chestundi and I used see my previous changes when i open it later(with out submit), so I thought it would do the same with submit as well. But any way thanks for the reply.

yes. They will run automated test cases on your code. score depended on how many test cases it can pass
