Sumitra Mahajan accepts resignation of 5 YSRCP MPs

The Lok Sabha Speaker on Tuesday accepted the resignation of five Yuvajana Shramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) MPs who had resigned from the lower house over their demands of special category status to Andhra Pradesh.

Sumitra Mahajan accepted the resignation of PV Midhun Reddy, YS Avinash Reddy, YV Subba Reddy, V Varaprasad Rao, and YSRCP floor leader M Rajmohan Reddy after a final meeting today where all lawmakers remained adamant about their resignation.

 

In May, the Speaker had sent back the resignations asking the MPs to reconsider their decision of leaving the Parliament.

All five Lok Sabha MPs of YSR Congress Party, which is in opposition in Andhra Pradesh, had submitted their resignations protesting against the center, demanding a special category status for Andhra Pradesh.

The ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Andhra Pradesh alleged that the YSR Congress and the BJP have colluded to play "resignation drama" over the demand of special category status.

Ala emundi next Assembly elections to paatu bi-elections pedataaru, more than 6 months kante ekkuva time  undiga gen elections ki so have to conduct Bi-election..But one more twist if tenure is less than an year for general elections they might choose whether to conduct or not.

Second half lo MP , Rajasthan lanti states assembly elections to paatu bi-election pettochu...

I think CBN got right timing to bring this up right before they got approved and blamed them a few days prior to approval. Now YCP not getting credit for resignations in any way.

Now if TDP gives no confidence motion again and protest in next parliament session, People will realize the mistake YCP did and then blame them for acting prematurely.  CBN did act switfly on this one to take credit away from YCP on no-confidence motion and not reacting on resignations until a few days prior to acceptance.
