a e vehicles ki malli power kaval kada charging ki..

so demand will be exponential then.

same batteries can store the solar power generated during the day antunna bro... knowing the importance of solar power many middle eastern countries are building solar parks eventhough petrol is abundant in those areas...

This is a wrong notion.

If solar is so cheap, INdia would have had 30-40% of power needs fultilled by solar energy itself but reality seems to be different.

Coal and Hydel are very cheap to produce with most cheapest is hydel which usually cost around 1-2- paisa per unit..followed by coal which stands at 50-60 paise per unit...

solar production still is expensive at almost 4 rupees 5o paise levels.

and with transparency in allocation of coal blocks in 2015, giving free hand for power companies to procure coal from other countries and acquiring coal from Coal India being made transparent, its very easy to procure coal and produce power than installing and maintaining solar plants.

Solar has to wait for few more years to be considered as mainstream energy source.

Just be aware this was a year ago article.  At that time:

Coal: Rs 3.20 per KWH

Solar: Rs 2.44 Per KWH

I quoted the production cost of coal and hydel...

not tariff.

The link which you posted, talks about the tariff, i.e the price at which the product is being sold....tariff is not the the cost of production.

The cost which I quoted is production cost of 1 unit...Unit is the basic measure at which the a certain amount of power is sold in commercial market...for example, mee intlo electricity bill is charged per units consumed...

so, the same unit which is being sold in the market, the prices what I quoted is the production cost of similar unit...

Tariff is different brother...and nuv chepina link lo tariff is based in KwH...not in units.

adannamata sangati...

This is official source by ministry of power, it is a live dashboard for power purchases and sale in INdia across the discoms and exchanges in the power grid.

You can go to individual state, scroll over and hit the link, it will direct you to the respective state where you can see live figures of sale price of each unit for the day...this dashboard reflects live prices and availability across exchanges, purchase rate per unit..!
