if there are no migrants who are crossing the border, the economy of those fruit picking, farm workers, meat packers  who hire them will collapse. May be you are unaware of the fact that there are 11 million stateless people in USA. 

Literally they do not have an identity in USA and have no idea if they ever become citizens of this country. They work for low wages and often do not have access to education and health, forget about the welfare. They live secondary life here in USA.

Had the previous regimes been tougher at border crossings or immigration, the situation for these 11 million people have been better atleats in their home countries, atleast  they would have an identity.

whatever Trump is doing, its atleast better than previous regimes. He is trying to stop illegal border crossings at least so that the list of sufferers dosent go beyond 11 million people. It needs to be halted, atleast for time being and clear the mess.
