Just my experience.. may help others. Please dont make huge investments.

I started with 500$. and slowly increased my investments. 

Before entering market invest time in yourself to learn more basics on investing.  Dave Ramsey, Rich Dad Poor Dad etc are great resources. 

Following market is different and investing is different.

if I were you 11k I would have started with littile and invested more in MF and ETF.

But dont worry.. I feel your portfolio is good. But wrong time to enter market.
