I like Dell , I usually spend > 1k on laptop , will be useful for around 4-5 years , my last laptop is still running after 7 years (Dell XPS) , display is a little bit detached but good for watching moves by connecting to tv, current one is going strong after 3 years , 4k display , nvidia 4gb graphics for gaming etc, bagundi  , productivity kuda good
