Quick question about fixed bid project

Maa cousin is out of project for last 2 weeks, ivala oka interview aindi, they liked him and said 

"we would like to offer you 60-day contract for $xxxxx (half price compared to market rate), if you successfully migrate the project, we are prepared to offer you full-time position" . So, oka fixed bid project laga vachindi.

How can he work it out , cousin status: Cee Pee Tee , working through an employer all this years on OPT + CPT(h1 rale last year). 

he was thinking of asking for remote work option, so that he can wfh and finish, either going through employer or other options.

 

As the pay is very less, what the other options other than going through employer ?

is there any other interviews in hand? some times we can learn more even though the pay is less.

yeah, I know...

but main dilemma is , if he knows a friend or family member who owns an LLC, should he ask them to sign the contract and get paid from them ? so that he can get most of the contract money
