My father also used to take Insulin earlier but later made control and got away from Injections & now he takes only Tablets and had fair control for 3 months average.. Especially when there are chronic diseases its atleast better to have an initial visit with doctor - so it issues arise they have little backround now I understand insurance lekapothey..ekkuva ayye chance udi , but there are many many ways to handle this - find a desi doctor , buy insurance online now and use it - you can simply have a video chat with a doctor - through amwell and so many other apps - it cost 50 bucks and they have the ability to put in the orders and you can go to nearest pharmacy to pickup meds koos use goodrx and you can find better prices...so my honest advice is .... its ok i fu r planning to get from india - but under what conditions they have to be stored ? whoever might get that , what is teh guarantee that they dont put their suitcase under heated conditions and what if it gets spoiled my parents recently came so i thought abt these - get something here.... I will check - some times even manufacturer have coupons ... Also I dont know about insulin - but doesnt it have to stay under a certain temparature ? your doctor uncle might have provided suggestions I am sure there are zillions of americans using this - and there will definitely be an insurance product covering these - even salt water will be charged 2000$ in emergency - thats all a big scam here , but we never pay that . So is there no insurance product that covers ? even if u get the medicine , even if u dont care about the conditions in which it is bought here , even if u dont want to see a local doctor ( unless ur doctor uncle lives close to u ) - how can u make sure you are well prepared in case of an emergency - whats your plan ? I dont get anything by being rude here , ( even though it sounds like that ) - but too often I see so many of us , impacted by questionable decisions . If it comes to my mom or dad , i dont care if her brother is a doctor , her niece is a doctor , i control everything , even if I spend thousands more than needed... Doctor friends and relatives might have best intentions , but being accessible , having right experience , right knowledge is crucial .... this is an assumption but your uncle being a doctor , if he approved this plan of getting the meds from India - then god bless... but if you post the exact medicine details here , i will chk Quote
